Memorising Vocabulary Was Yesterday – Hello Novakid

Everything is easier and faster when you are having fun: this is the idea behind the online English platform Novakid. Here, children aged four to twelve learn English in virtual one-to-one lessons, exclusively taught by native English speakers and based on the “Total Physical Response” method. Facial expressions and gestures help the children to understand the meaning of new English words and to memorise them better. At Novakid, the 25-minute lessons are structured in a playful way using interactive learning materials and are individually adapted to the age and proficiency of the child. As PR natives, we ensured that the launch of the innovative language platform was the talk of the town in Germany.

Learning by Doing

How do you convince journalists and influencers of a course offer that comes on top of homework and homeschooling in challenging pandemic times? Well, we let the results and especially the students speak for themselves! Selected media representatives and influencers along with their children are regularly invited by us to put Novakid to the test. And what can we say? They LOVE it! Novakid’s USP is particularly convincing: unlike with other learning platforms, no units are pre-produced, but instead the lessons take place live. This is also confirmed by celebrity parents such as Collien Ulmen-Fernandes, Roman Knizka, Tina Ruland and Tanja Bülter in specially produced video ads: when it comes to online English lessons for children, it has to be with Novakid. And because Novakid is not only about having fun, but also about acquiring sustainable language skills, we also brought educational expert Béa Beste on board. She provides scientific commentary on the Novakid methodology of immersive learning and, as a Novakid ambassador, offers genuine added value with her professional know-how.

Public Link accompanied the German market entry of the online English platform with a comprehensive and integrated communication strategy that included paid media such as influencer relations, advertorials and radio campaigns in addition to earned media – media relations, podcasts and content creation. In just a few months, Public Link succeeded in significantly increasing Novakid’s brand awareness and number of customers in Germany and Austria: Novakid now holds its own in the field of established apps and digital tutoring providers such as Babbel or Sofatutor and ranks third among the best-known language learning platforms. We have positioned Novakid as an innovative supplement to traditional English lessons that enables children to learn a foreign language intuitively and playfully and to make a good start in a globalised world. Our activities are accompanied by media-appropriate analogue and digital content in which Novakid ambassador Béa Beste provides pedagogical commentary on Novakid’s approach and methodology and scientifically supplements the subject area of “early childhood education and school education”.
