#LaunchAcademy – Time flies…

I can’t believe this is my final blog post for the public link #LaunchAcademy! Five months has flown by and I can hardly believe that my time in Berlin and here at public link is at an end. In this post I wanted to take a look back and mention a few of the best things I’ve experienced since working here, along with some of the most important lessons I’ve learned!

Bright XX Tradeshow

This was definitely one of the funnest #LaunchAcademy outings – I met loads of young German designers exhibiting their work for #BerlinFashionWeek and got an insight into an industry I previously knew nothing about! You can read more about it here.

Weihnachtsfeier 2014

Our public link Christmas party this year was a definite highlight of my time here at the public link office. Goldhahn & Sampson was a fantastic venue for a fun and interactive party, and I learned how to cook roast beef!

Volkswagen – Mémoire de Pétrole

This perfume launch was another super cool event for #BerlinFashionWeek, put on by a friend of mine at Sleek Magazine. The idea behind the fragrance was really interesting, as well as the scent itself – and the free drinks were alright too… Read the blog post here.

On top of these fantastic opportunities that came from working at public link, living in a city like Berlin was a brand new experience for me, and one I will never forget. Special events like the Festival of Lights or the 25th Anniversary of the Mauerfall really reminded me what a historical city it is, while other more normal things like the Weihnachtmärkte or Sundays on Tempelhofer Feld made me realise how vibrant and full of life Berlin is, no matter what time of year!

I’ve really valued my five months here at public link and have gained a lot from the experience, but I also can’t wait to take the new skills I’ve gained and use them in France. I’m sad to leave the city, but I know I’ll be back in Berlin soon – so until then it’s goodbye from me!

Viele Grüße ihr lieben!
