“Brücke” arts and South Sea rhythms in Berlin-Dahlem

Following a successful preview day, Berlin’s Brücke Museum opened on April 30, 2010 with a special exhibition: “The collection: works by the ‘Brücke’ group and non-European art”.

To wine, canapés and the sounds of the South Seas provided by the band KONKOBA, numerous capital city art lovers attended the opening of works from the “Brücke” collection”; offering a chance to admire the exotic statuary of the South Pacific and Africa by Karl Schmidt-Rottluff.

It is the first time in three years that visitors have had the opportunity to behold the Brücke museum’s own collection. This special exhibition also offers visitors a further highlight: exclusively displaying three works by Ernst Ludwig Kirchner from a private collection, which have never exhibited together before, anywhere in the world. The special showing will be open to visitors until September 5 at the Brücke Museum in Berlin-Dahlem.

Since early this year, public link has responsibility for the regional and national media communications of the Brücke Museum. Besides intense publicity of a wealth of exhibiting activities at home and abroad, communications measures are also designed to sharpen the profile of this unique museum.
